Hi all,

I have managed to install the AMD 10.4.8 Osx Tubgirl version. I am now wishing to update to 10.4.9 with the Myzar update.. can anyone offer some guidelines as to how I may do this please?

Thanks in advance,

Ricky

It seems my question may have been elementary which is why nobody replied.

Well for the benefit of the novice hackintosh macker I will describe the process I followed to successfully install 10.4.9 on my SATA drive on my AMD pc.

System Specs

-----------------

DFI Lanparty NForce4 SLI-DR

AMD Opteron 165 Dual Core (overclocked to 3Ghz)

2GB Ballistix DDR500 RAM

OCZ SLI 600W PSU

3X 250GB SATA Hard drives (Samsung, Western Digital, Western Digital)

1X 120GB ATA Hard Drive (IBM)

Nvidia Geforce 7800GTX 256MB RAM

MAC Install version : 10.4.8 AMD Tubgirl

Update to latest kernal : 10.4.9 Myzar Update

Other Updates : MeDevil nForce4 update, EHCI 2.6.1a

Summary of steps taken

----------------------------

1. Prepared ATA Hard Drive and SATA Hard drive (created unallocated space, used diskpart in windows to create a partition of 10GB size and type 'af').

2. Burned MacOsx Install Disk (10.4.8 Tubgirl AMD) using Nero v7

3. RESET BIOS TO OPTIMIZED DEFAULT VALUES

4. Inserted Mac Install Disk and installed OS on ATA Drive (Used Disk Utility during Mac installation to prepare Hard Drives)

5. Applied 10.4.9 Update

6. Installed EHCI and medevil nForce4 patches

7. used CarbonCopy software to copy over OSx installation to SATA drive

This is more or less what I done in a nutshell. I hope this helps anyone else with a similar configuration as me.

Cheers,

Rixx
