No Video With DVD player {under 10.4.7}

Hello,

 

I am running 10.4.7 and have audio but no video {with DVD player app}. I have tried DVD player from 4.6, 4.9.

None seem to work. When I update to 4.9 it works. But FrontRow does not.

 

Is there a fix for this?

Edit: Also just tried dvd player for 10.5, no go(crashes)

 

When i do a clean install (same 4.7) on another partition, dvd player video works.

But I have to edit my audio kext to get sound. When I do, no video. :censored2: :censored2: Throw me a bone, what could I be doing wrong?
