GKW Posted May 17, 2007 Share Posted May 17, 2007 I've just installed MacOSX 10.4.8 on my PC, when I clicks on 'About this Mac', the desktop(Finder and Dock) disppears and appears immediately, and all running applications were terminated. Currently, I can't access 'About this Mac', please tell me how to solve this problem, thank you. My PC: AMD Sempron 2800+ OC 4000+(2.4G), supports SSE2 SSE3 DFI nForce3 250GB Samsung 1G UCCC ATI Radeon 9550 WD 80GB IDE My Installation: Burned DVD using Jas.Mac.OS.X.10.4.8.Intel.AMD.SSE2.SSE3.PPF1.PPF2 ISO Chosen AMD patch and LoginWindow patch Installed Collisto ATI 9550 V008 Driver Thank you! e-rick Posted May 17, 2007 Share Posted May 17, 2007 This is quite an old problem. You need to replace the 10.4.8 loginwindow.app with the one from 10.4.5. Or, just apply the colonel sytem profiler patch.. (search the forum) edit: I fear colonel's site is offline.. so better look for a torrent or something.
