desktop items and dock dual display ?'s

Ok i have dual displays and im wondering if i can somehow have my desktop icons go to the 2nd display by default? i can drag them over manually but when i mount something or a new folder is created its dropped on my main display by default. id just switch the 2nd display and make it my main but i like the dock on primary display, also i use virtue desktop and use the sides of my display as the triggers to flip the screen (roll over the sides while holding the command key) and if i just change the way my monitors are pluged into my system those trigers will be on my smaller screen instead..
