SDRacer48
I have Jas 10.4.8 installed on my computer (see specs in signature). I had left audio only and I tried the common fix of replacing the AppleAC97.kext (not exact name, but you know what i mean). I did all of the appropriate steps and rebooted. It gave me an error saying that I did not install files properly and try and restall or contact vender. I now have NO audio and it sucks! All I want right now is my LEFT AUDIO back. Therefore, I need to reinstall the original files. Anyone have any idea where I can get a hold of them. My copy of OSX86 is the Jas 10.4.8 Install DVD [pff1 and pff2 patches or whatever]. dong
If you mean the original file comes with 10.4.8 instead of any patch packages, it can be found on the official 10.4.8 update package which can be downloaded from apple site. If you mean the optional package you choosed during OSX installing, it is already in the Jas DVD. What you need to do is using Pacifist to open the one correct for you and find the package you needed and install. It should be located at the position System/Library/Extensions/ for the 10.4.8 updater or Optional install package/ for Jas DVD.
SDRacer48
Thank you for the information, but I already reinstalled osx86 because my partition I made was too small. I now only have left audio instead of no audio, but I am pretty sure I will screw it up again. Thanks
