Mebster Posted May 5, 2007 Share Posted May 5, 2007 Hi, does anyone know of a program (for Windows and OS X please) that tells you when your internet has disconnected and maybe saves it in the form of a possible log or something else showing me that it disconnected while I was away. I recently moved to a new ISP and I think my internet disconnects (and then reconnects) often but all I have to go on it is that MSN Messenger disconnects and reconnects. And since MSN Messenger's behaving could be due to the MSN network rather than my own interent connection, I would rather look for a application just simply looked at my connection status. Posted May 10, 2007 Share Posted May 10, 2007 In OSX just start Terminal and start this command ping www.google.com | /ping.txt In windows start CMD and type ping www.google.com > c:\ping.txt Both will save logs in the path specified. If u see a lot of "Request Timed Out" messages then your net probably disconnected, or Google went bust.
