Hi, i'm new to all this, but I got the tiger-flat.img installed on a partition on my PC, specs are:

FOXCONN P9657AA-8EKRS2H CONROE SKT 775 MOTHERBOARD

INTEL CORE 2 DUO E6600 CPU 2.4GHZ

Inno3D GeForce 7100GS 128Mb PCI-E DVI TV

I got it to boot, but it stalled whilst trying to recognise a belkin 1394 card. it said something about PCI bus, and Vendor number and FW. Thats the only PCI Card I have

so i pulled that out, and when i boot with -v, it still stalls very soon after (even in safe mode) at:

Apple MTRRSupport:Enabled Write combining for memory range d00000000:4000000

Any help anyone could provide would be very very much appreciated. I just want to use the (paid for) copy of Logic 7 I have.

thanks in advance

Dr Z

You ll better use a clear installation of 10.4.(5-8).

And a OS selector like Acronis.

-Format your partition to Fat32 give it a name that you reegognize during installation.

-Use Acronis and make a boot disc of Os sellector (just in case).

-Download an image of 10.4.(any)from torrent sites and burn it with Nero or Alcohol or MagicISO on a slower posible speed.

-Install your 10.4.(any) on the partition that you prepare.

Good luck.

thankyou for your help

ill try this, im not sure which version i've got- its pretty hard to tell. it was a .tar.bz2 file, extracted the flat image and some vmware files (0-4). does that mean its 10.4.1?

ill try what you said anyway.

cheers

dr z
