nekton Posted May 3, 2007 Share Posted May 3, 2007 It seems Apple is going to force people who bought FCP Studio (1) academic to pay the full $499 upgrade price to get Studio 2. This is sly marketing because Studio 1 academic (which I bought 3 months ago for $700) + $499 for the Studio 2 upgrade is actually a lot more than the $699 Apple wants for the full academic version of Studio 2 and is only $100 less than the full $1299 non-academic price. Come on Apple, do the right thing for students who spent tight cash and bought FCP Studio 1 and offer an academic upgrade to Studio 2 for $199.
