Radu Alexandru Popescu
Hi, Was wondering if anyone else encountered choppy mouse movement, movies not playing unless mouse is constantly moved or spotlight searching, things like this when the p.c. is idle. Basically it seems like the computer goes into a coma (but the image remains on the screen)! I searched the forum for answers but nobody else seems to be experiencing this problem, so any suggestion is welcome. My computer is a Toshiba Satellite P100-257 (Hardware specification at the link) Hope I didn't post in the wrong category. Thank you in advance. Guest Ramm
What kind of video card do you have in it? The default? If it is an nVidia you may want to use Natit.
Radu Alexandru Popescu
It's an integrated video-card: Mobile Intel® 945GM Express Chipset Family (128 MB). Or at least this is what Everest said. The motherboard's chipset is: Mobile Intel Calistoga-G i945GM. The odd part is that I think it has something to do with hard-disk activity or CPU activity, because this behavior appears when the computer is idle... if I install something or if I search it works fine but as soon as it is finished searching it reverts to it's behavior. And thanks for your time.
