BJMoose
Hi, I'm pretty happy with my setup after many days and hours of tweaking. I have 4 hard drives installed with the first being divided into 2 partitions. Sometimes all 5 drives show when I open OSX and sometimes only 3 or 4 show. This happens whether I boot them as IDE or SATA, AHCI. They always appear on the boot up screen, just not in the OS. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks. BJMoose
I should probably be a bit more specific about this situation. All the drives show up in the drive utility and can be mounted from there. They just don't always show up on the desktop automatically. Thanks.
The Baron
Have you tried Finder -> Preferences -> Show these items on the Desktop: ? The Baron
BJMoose
Hi Baron, thanks for trying to help. I do have the box checked for hard drives in Finders>Preferences. Still no change. This isn't such a big deal since I can always mount them manually from the Disk Utility, but I just wanted to have everything working perfectly. Thanks again for your help. peacewise
I too have this issue - it's not a big deal as you mentioned because they can be mounted. I'm just not sure why they don't always mount automatically. (It happened with 10.4.8 and 10.4.9) PWS
