mpeters13
Anyone know of a way to tell OS X not to mount my windows drive? It's a bit annoying because when I run a spotlight query, it'll search the windows drive before the the Macintosh HD. For example: spotlight query: Terminal Results: Hyperterminal.lnk --> Then if I show all, I can tell it I want the results from the Macintosh HD. I've tried adding the entire drive, to the privacy list, but that isn't working. Any ideas? EDIT: Hmm maybe this wasn't waste of forum space. Seems my only solution is to unmount the windows partition (luckily i keep my files on a seperate partition... but this really stinks for those of us who have files they need to access in windows) To do this i made an easy automator workflow that unmounts the drive (shell), saved it as an app and have it run at startup. Seems the osx86 version crashes each time so I had to run the app using rosetta. Slow, yes, but it works.
