doxrules Posted April 23, 2007 Share Posted April 23, 2007 I have a problem during the installation with the Disk Utility. When I trie to format appears this message "ERROR: Insufficient privileges". My HD is sata, has it any relantioship with the error? I´m using JaS.Mac.OS.X.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.PPF.1. I read the forum and used the search, but i didn´t find any solution. Thanks everybody. acidez Posted October 19, 2007 Share Posted October 19, 2007 Hi there! I'm encountering the same error when trying to install any version of OSx86 with VMWare. The weird thing is: It worked with an earlier install of Windows XP. The problem was that the partition OSx86 was installed on was part of the extended partition, so it didn't boot. Therefore I repartitioned and reinstalled Windows. I, too, have a SATA HD with independent-persistent selected in VMWare. It works neither when selecting the whole HD, nor when only selecting the partition OSX should be installed on. Any clues..?
