I purchased a Belkin F5D7001 PCI Wireless Card yesterday and decided to fit it. Then I unzipped the wireless package, I have attached in this post. Install it. Once installed use the gui repair permissions util (or cmd line) then reboot.

This card works with 10.4.9

AirPort Card Information:

Wireless Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x7001)

Wireless Card Locale: USA

Wireless Card Firmware Version: 100.9 (3.120.28.3)

Wireless Channel: 5

Please let me know how you get on with it...... :)

Thank's

PM

EDIT : Of course it does ! Just have to repair permission :

sudo chmod -R 755 /system/library/extensions/IO80211Familly.kext

sudo chown -R root:wheel /system/library/extensions/IO80211Familly.kext

And don't forget to remove /System/Library/ Extensions.kextcache and Extensions.mkext

EDIT 2 : Also need a few more step to make it work :

After driver install, reboot

The edit the Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist and change the values of your controler from 0 to 1

Reboot once again

Here we are ! The card is recognised as an Airport one !
