Darnit, in 10.4.1, I was in heaven, b/c QE was enabled.

Now that I installed 10.4.3, it seems the AppleIntel830* files are no longer part of the install dvd (i searched using Pacifist)

(and this adds salt to my wounds, b/c a trial MacDrive6 hosed my drive and I lost my XP partitions during the install.)

What are my option now, is there a way to make the 10.4,1 drivers work under 10.4.3?

Hi nemoii,

I'm in the same boat as you (except that my Device ID is 0x3582). It seems from reading a number of posts that the AppleIntel915.kext is meant as a generic driver for a number of Intel chipsets (i.e. supplanting the AppleIntel830.kext). I believe this is how it works on the Linux side, so one could assume a similar move with Darwin. As well, AppleIntelIntegratedGraphics.kext has been replaced with AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext. Here is a link to a thread that may shed some light (although it is dealing with a different chipset than mine, I have an 855GM).

I'll post back if I ever get it working.
