Lagerstatten
I just installed OS X 10.4.8 with the update to 10.4.9 by Jas. Everything works fine. However I want to repair the disk permissions before I go ahead and install anything else but Disk Utility won't let me. I'm using a Dell Latitude D620 with a 2.16ghz Core2Duo with one of the cores disabled. This is the message I get when I try to repair permissions: "Disk Utility has lost its connection to the Disk Management Tool and cannot continue. Please quit and relaunch Disk Utility". Any way around this? Thanks in advance!
Lagerstatten
Fixed! I suspected that it was the installation DVD that was giving me problems so I reburned the ISO using IMGBURN at 4x and had the program verify as well and this time the installation was fine. -TT
