iProd
Hey there, I am trying to install JaS 10.4.9 onto my computer, but I keep on getting the error message USB Notification: The device "EHCI Root Hub Simulation" @ 0x22000000 has caused an overcurrent condition. The hub it is attached to has been disabled What is this, and how do I fix it? It hangs at "BSD root: disk2s3, major 14, minor 6" before it does this, if that is of any significance. My specs are AMD Athalon 64 3700+, A8N-E motherboard, 2gb of RAM, one 60gb SATA 2.5" drive, 80gb PATA and 120gb PATA, a super drive and a combo drive, PCI firewire card, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value. Zulu.Walker
A USB device is asking for too much power from a HUB on the mobo or externally. Unplug to the most basic that you need and try it again. Swapping ports might help too. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48748-usb-notification/#findComment-352229 Share on other sites

Tjoflöjt
Same for me, In 10.4.8 I had a pop-up telling me about the problem. But now osx won’t boot at all. I tried without any USB dev. Inserted but same problem occurred. Used uphack v1.4i Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48748-usb-notification/#findComment-412453 Share on other sites
