four! Posted April 17, 2007 Share Posted April 17, 2007 I had an old B&W tower sitting here with a PCI Mac Radeon 7000 in it so I decided to put it in one of my many hackintosh machines. (This one in particular has no QE or CI from the Intel Onboard Video) So naturally I thought I could put it in the Peecee and get it to work. (At least the Radeon 7000 has QE) I didn't bother going into the BIOS and changing the primary video card to PCI as the Radeon has a Mac BIOS on it and will only boot on a machine with OpenFirmware. I seated the card in a free PCI which happened to be the 1st slot and booted up and went into System Profiler. It detected my card in "Graphics/Displays" but when I go into Displays in System Prefs it doesn't show the other card even when I plug a second LCD into the card. Heres the question. (Maybe a few in all) Can I use the card as a primary or secondary display without reflashing the Mac to a Peecee BIOS? ******************UPDATE******************** Out of shear boredom I flashed a random Peccee Radeon 7000 BIOS I found on google to the card and it worked! four! Posted April 20, 2007 Author Share Posted April 20, 2007 cannot enable QE even with the PCI Extreme program I used to use on my PowerPC mac. I also installed Natit and I couldn't change resolutions. Should I not bother with the Mac Radeon and buy an AGP card I know will work?
