dmk Posted April 14, 2007 Share Posted April 14, 2007 I'm building a new rig, and with the recent AMD price drops it's really tempting to make that jump over from Intel. There's great deals on the AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ right now but I don't see it mentioned anywhere in the forum. Anyone using it with OSX86 successfully? Also, how about the Biostar Tforce 550 Motherboard? I realize it's a long shot asking, I didn't see either component mentioned in the HCL or in my forum search. If anyone's had any success (or non-success) and can post that would be cool. I'm still mainly a PC user, but having the dual boot option would be nice, and I may consider sticking with Intel if it will make OSX run smoother. beheivjer Posted April 14, 2007 Share Posted April 14, 2007 im having issues with my turion 64 x2 laptop and my athlon64 x2 4400 desktop they install after a few tries but have kernal problems and lots of driver issues.
