MacBro
Hi! I'm new to this OSx86 and i've tried using the 10.4.6 version PC Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86 Asus P5GZ-MX (ALC883 Audio + Marvell 88E8001) Gigabyte ATI Radeon X1300Pro 512MB 1GB DDR2 RAM 250GB IDE + 80GB SATA The installation is successfull , the OS works 100% but no Audio and Graphic adapter detected... So..... I installed my PC using the 10.4.8 version The installation wasn't successfull and locked up I saw all of my hdd drive is formatted without any notice.... ' Am I doing something wrong...? I decided to use my old 10.4.6 installer But, i don't know how to activate the Audio Realtek ALC883 and Graphics (X1300Pro) Forums said that i have to use the 8.8.1 Semthex Kernel to activate my Audio and Graphic Card, where can I get this kernel? I've downloaded the ALC883.mpkg, AzaliaAudio.pkg, AppleHDA for my Audio and Boris Badenov 3.2 & 3.5 ATI Driver for my VGA Card. Are this driver usable under 10.4.6 version? I worried with the kernel panic.... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48394-osx86-installation-newbies-help/ Share on other sites
ManiMac
I have same mobo with P4 631 3Ghz Use JAS 10.4.8 SSE2SSE3+PPF1+PPF2(defiant diskutil fix) DVD (search around green demon) At installation Include only Intel kext For Audio aLC883 use: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...ost&id=6726 (Now I have all audio ports ok...) For the onboard Marvell Yukon 88E8001 gigabit network adapter use: skge.kext.02d as explained in the following post: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=15700 For Video Card U can try the Diabolik's "NatitX1300 Insaller" that u can find in his website (goggle "diabolik's helpful files") Although I have an NVIDIA 7600GS I guess that X1300 is not problematic to install. Hope this help. Good luck. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48394-osx86-installation-newbies-help/#findComment-354897 Share on other sites
