I tried Get Info but it was grayed out where you can type in the new name. Any suggestions? In this case, they are only readable under OSX, so you have two solutions: rename them in Windows or install MacFuse, which enables the writeable protocol. danyl Posted April 26, 2007 Share Posted April 26, 2007 Not to seem trite, but have you tried clicking on the name of the thing on your desktop? You can rename OSX and Linux partitions just as you would any normal file. (I'm using ExtFSManager to mount Linux partitions) For Windows partitions, boot to Windows and change the drive labels in Explorer.
