uNtouched
I did the upgrade from .4.8 to .9 using Netkas' directions and now I can't boot. At first I was getting "still waiting for root device"...got past that bu installing the old IOATAFamily.kext, now I'm getting a blue screen with black cursor...and it's not booting past that. I tried using AppleSMBIOS.kext from paulicat...nothing. Anyone have any ideas? I have a HP ZD7000 with PAE SSE3. uNtouched
The AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext doesn't apply to me only because I believe I have hpet and it's SSE3 intel. dsmos.kext has been copied over IOATAFamily.kext has been copied over AppleSMBios.kext has been copied over (.4.8 version) AppleSMBios.kext has been copied over (Paulicat's version) when I boot -v, all the verbose output goes away right before it goes to blue screen, it seems as if though it's going to boot then I just get a bluescreen with black cursor. Zizou
Sorryt if the questions are insulting now Just need to check.. Sure you have the right SSE3 kernel? Hve you tried older SMBIOS.kexts? (I used my 10.4.4 one.. lol, same goes for the IOTAFamily.bundle) and again, repaired permissions? Do you have Natit installed? (Natit gives me weird problems like these too allot, therefor I prefer Titan!) did 10.4.8 with 8.8.1 kernel work ?
