MonkeyGrinder
Hi everybody, I hope someone can help me out.. Here are the steps i followed to install OSX on the laptop u can see in my signature. Downloaded Jas iso Put the dvd into the drive and initialized the whole hdd (Mac OS ext Journaled) Installed OSX After a succesful install, i rebooted and pulled the dvd out of the drive As soon as my pc booted a message saying "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key" appeared Of course my bios is set to boot from its only hdd, so why the install is not recognized? Your help will be greatly appreciated.. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48331-no-bootable-device-after-succesful-install/ Share on other sites

MonkeyGrinder
If I don't, it just asks me to press any key to install OSX (again) or to press f8 for startup options.. Hey I rebooted and i just got a new error message! "System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found" Damn.. I think I'll try installing again (for the third time..) and then if it still won't work, i suppose I'll give up and go back to Vista or Xp.. MonkeyGrinder
Great! I managed (god knows how..) to go past that problem.. Just to find another one waiting right after! It boots, shows the gray screen with the apple logo and the rotating thingy, but after approx 10 seconds the screen goes black and nothing happens.. Frustrating..
