SA22C Posted April 12, 2007 Share Posted April 12, 2007 I'd go with a Core 2 Duo so far as the CPU goes. They're what OS X expects and they're the better option to boot. AMD just hasn't kept up to Intel in the past few months. As for the motherboard, check the HCL @ http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.4.8 to check for the various compatibility issues. For video, if you're really dead-set on 512 MB, be aware that nVidia support is spotty and requires a BIOS flash. Check the link in my sig for details. I don't know how good the ATI support is. Again, check the HCL for the specific cards that are fully supported.
