i need to buy new parts and am leaning towards a fitality mobo - am2 - or fitality mobo - core 2 duo

 

i need to know if they are compatible..

is there a good gaming system i can build for windows and also run hackintosh totally compatible.

looking at spending :2cents: 700-1000 on new parts $au

 

mobo - best for gaming and hackintosh

asus

abit

msi

intelboard

 

ram - 2gb adata

cpu .. am2 or core 2

video card - pref - 512mb 256bit .....

I'd go with a Core 2 Duo so far as the CPU goes. They're what OS X expects and they're the better option to boot. AMD just hasn't kept up to Intel in the past few months. As for the motherboard, check the HCL @ http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.4.8 to check for the various compatibility issues.

 

For video, if you're really dead-set on 512 MB, be aware that nVidia support is spotty and requires a BIOS flash. Check the link in my sig for details. I don't know how good the ATI support is. Again, check the HCL for the specific cards that are fully supported.
