x86SMD
Hi guys, I have looked all over the forums and found nothing so here is my problem... Just recently Apple has begun shipping their OSX install DVDs (Tiger 10.4.8) on dual layer DVDs. I need to backup my DVD as I only have one and it will eventually get scratched, lost or stolen. What is the program that you all use to modify (remove and add packages) the Disk images? Basically I need to remove iLife06 so the OS install files will fit on one single layer DVD. Any help is much appreciated. I know of Pacifist, but it does not allow me to remove packages. Any suggestions? user2
anyone? you could make a disk image mount it read/write and remove some of the packages. I know the language packs take up a bunch of space but I'm not sure if you can remove them. frizbot
Hmm, not sure. Only people who know how to work with the OS X installer will be able to help. You could borrow an older OS X DVD since you own OS X. You could put a DL-capable burner in an external enclosure and use it to burn a DL-DVD backup.
