Shenoka
What should I say? Nothing works to get Sound on my System. I tried everthing that I have found on Information about the Soundchip AC97. Under WindowsXP it is a VIA AC97, but Vendor ID 8086 and Device ID 24c5 say me it must be ICH4. So I intstalled the AppleAC97Audio.kext, changed everything correctly and load it. But, no sound! So I started the Mac OS X in verbose mode to see what's going on. And this is what I get to see: AppleAC97AudioIntelICH: failed to create Interrupt event source. What can I do? P.S.: I installed the Mac OS X native with the Apple Mac Os X 10.4 Generic Install DVD inc. SSE 2 Maxxus patch. Sry for my English. I hope it is good enough to understand it. I have the same sound card as you in a HP nc6000, it works only when I delete the ATI kext (I have a 9600). I installed the deadmoo VMware image. Shenoka
I have the Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo L 6820 Notebook. I have deleted all ATI and NVidia kext files, too. But nothing works. The AppleAC97Audio.kext is loaded and the AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext, too. But I get only the message: failed to create Interrupt Event source. In the System Profiler I found this: AppleAC97Audio: Version: 1.0.0 Last Modified: 11.04.05 05:35 Get Info String: 1.0.0, Copyright Apple Computer, Inc. 2004 Location: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext kext Version: 1.0.0 Load Address: 0xde5cb000 Valid: Yes Authentic: Yes Dependencies: Satisfied Integrity: Kext has no receipt AppleAC97AudioIntelICH: Version: 1.0.0 Last Modified: 11.04.05 05:35 Get Info String: 1.0.0, Copyright Apple Computer, Inc. 2004 Location: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext kext Version: 1.0.0 Load Address: 0xde5d8000 Valid: Yes Authentic: Yes Dependencies: Incomplete Dependency Errors: com.apple.driver.AppleAC97Audio: No valid version of this dependency can be found Integrity: Kext has no receipt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4816-nothing-works-to-get-sound/#findComment-30665 Share on other sites

Hi, try to enter the bios and see if you can change the ressouces for your onboard sound. you will find it in the integrated peripherals section. maybe that will work Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4816-nothing-works-to-get-sound/#findComment-30668 Share on other sites
