james2mart
Every time I try to add to my library (or play) one of my mp4 videos (Which plays fine in media player classic, and just fine on other vista pc's itunes) in Quicktime or iTunes, My computer crashes with a random stop error (0xa, 0xd1). I tried disabling my video card driver, but that didn't solve the problem. I had vista enterprise as a standalone installation, (same pc), and it did this too. My current installation is Vista Ultimate upgraded from XP MCE (both fully legit). I think it might be a codec problem, but I'm not sure. I tried using AVIcodec to disable the windows mp4 decoders, but that also didn't solve the problem. I have reinstalled iTunes multiple times. Still no go. Does ANYONE have any clue on how to fix this? Any troubleshooting ideas? Thanks. PS. the stop errors aren't in any particular file. I can send minidumps if requested. Universe_JDJ
If it's a codec problem try something like the Vista Code Package (http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=66826)... This is what I use... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48154-vista-itunesquicktime-issue/#findComment-345145 Share on other sites
