I have the Asus P5B-deluxe, E6600, 2GB corsair (800Mhz), 1 wdigital pro 240Gb, 2 Samsung 240Gb (all SATA AHCI on the ICH8R). Graficcard Asus geforce 7300Gt. I installed the jas 10.4.8 with vp1, defiant diskutil, and ICH7! prepatched. (I tried to patch one on my own with ICH8, but it didn't find the Harddiscs) It all has been installed using a USB CDrom. It works great and very fast it's definitly USB 2.0. Furthermore, mouse, keyboard and Synchrosoft lycense control stick (all been connected during install) are working perfectly. But if I connect a USB Stick, or one of my class compilant USB Midi interfaces, they are just being ignored. The USB Sitck usually lights up, when connected, but with OSX it stays dark... except if its connected during startup, then it lights up but is still being ignored. I installed the JAS mentioned above, and during setup only had ICH7 for choice, so I choose it. Could it be because of this? Can I install the ICH8 patch afterwards? where can I get it "alone" (I mean not as a ppf)? Any help is appreciated. analographi Posted April 12, 2007 Author Share Posted April 12, 2007 News: I don't get my USB stick to be recognized, it works on the same computer on winXP and on other macs though.... Anyway, all the other devices are up and running now. The problem with the class compilant devices was, that they did not work over an active USB extension. Now it^s working, see my signature!!
