Mantrid
So I was using a PS/2 keyboard and the PS/2 mouse it came with, but then I remembered I had an Apple keyboard lying around, which is of course USB. So I plugged that in and disconnected the PS/2 keyboard while I was in OS X. Everything was fine until I rebooted. After that, my PS/2 mouse didn't work. If I plugged in a USB mouse (again, an Apple mouse, which means only single clicking), it was recognized and worked, but the PS/2 mouse remained dead. So I rebooted again with the PS/2 keyboard and PS/2 mous AND the USB keyboard plugged in, and the PS/2 mouse worked. At this point I could disconnect the PS/2 keyboard with no problems. Now I've just left the PS/2 keyboard plugged in and tucked behind my case, and I've been using the USB keyboard. This is a less than elegant solution. What do you guys suggest? Anyone else had this problem? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48123-disconnecting-ps2-keyboard-disables-ps2-mouse/ Share on other sites
