  1. OSX86 Front Row For All

for me i'm having a tiny bit of a flaw: the Front Row transition is not as smooth (like "chunky peanut butter" smooth) as the other methods of Front Row (which were "butter" smooth). I have the latest Front Row and a GMA900. Any ideas?
  2. OSX86 Front Row For All

Wow it works with my PS2 keyboard and mouse! very nice indeed. but the front row effect is a little sluggish..i'll work on that.
  3. they remind me of the iPhone a bit. But they're steering away from the all white enclousures that they've had for almost 5 years.
  4. 10.4.10 Upgrade Sucessful

quick question: what's the latest OS X kernel?
  5. 10.4.10 Update

haha. oh. okay. I've never used anything but Tiger (well, I used Panther for an hour on my iBook, then deleted it and put Tiger; I also did the same with Jaguar) so this is new.
  6. 10.4.10 Upgrade Sucessful

I'll speak for some when i ask: so i'm gonna install .10. Which extensions should I revert to [from .9] after installing?
  7. 10.4.10 Update

I thought a Mac OS stoped at .9 oh well. the "greats" I'm sure will handle this.
  8. Thank you thank you very much, david. This is very much new for me. What should I use to find out my hex value for each keystroke on my remote? My remote actually sends several occurrences of an event each time: ^[[BVirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::MINUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::MINUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::MINUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::MINUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::MINUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::MINUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::MINUS]... ^[[AVirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::PLUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::PLUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::PLUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::PLUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::PLUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::PLUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::PLUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::PLUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::PLUS]... VirtualIRCommand: Sending [AppleRemote::PLUS]... Also, it doesn't matter too much that I use another button to launch aTV (such as Sleep or Eject) so that Menu will work in aTV.
  9. Make Apple TV OS run on a regular PC?

yes correct. lol check the date to the left. I've been here over a year I mean it should be able to since it does use Intel Pentinum. Of course NO ONE would ever consider such a thing, but it's a hypothetical "can it be done" question.
  10. wait I'm confused a little. where do i put main.c? i have a Keyspan Remote for Front Row but it doesn't work with bholland's aTV Emu. Can you rephrase how to map out keystrokes. The only tiny mod i did to your Start aTV app is add <key>NSUIElement</key> <string>1</string> to hide the dock icon.
  11. hey its a good guide nonetheless! the only thing i dislike about brandon's IR Emulator is that if you're watching something for while, you have to type in your password (for sudo) and i sometime forget and think "did the Emulator it stop working (??)" plus i'd recommend to have terminal focused before running aTV so when you hit the spacebars and arrows and stuff, you don't do any finder damage (like rename your drive " ").
  12. What do YOU do in OS X?

i frequently get BORED on Macs. I do what I need to (write a paper, check the email, browse feed) then pretty much shut down. I used to play solitare on PCs, but I hate chess so nothing to play for free xcept dashboard widgets. I'd make movies, but I don't have a digital video camera.
  13. Make Apple TV OS run on a regular PC?

That's a good idea. I have Front Row installed on my hackintosh, but so many files to put in so many places....i don't even know where to find this Finder.app from the appletv and patch everyone's talking about. I just thought of something....could Windows run on Apple TV?
  14. Disconnecting PS/2 Keyboard Disables PS/2 Mouse

i have this problem as well since I just got a Pro keyboard
