Problems With My Installation Of Mac OS X

First let me start off with my actual problem.

 

I want to try Mac OS X on my pc, I cant afford a new one so I will have to stick with my rather old hardware for now.

To my knowledge which is somewhat limited this should be able to work.

 

I got my hands on "Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2]" from a pretty reputated site.

 

I burned the image on a DVD and Installed it on my computer.

That was pretty fast forward:

1. F8 -V

2. [x]Intel SSE2 SSE3 (I did NOT check for any of those nvidia or Ati boxes, should I ?)

3. Done

 

Then I wrote the entry for the mac os into my GRUB file.

Rebooted and fired up mac os.

I looked ok for sometime, teasing me with the gray apple and swhirling thingie and all.

Then It stopped and posted the noGoodForNothing, "Hold Down The Power Button To Reboot bla bla bla" in several different languages, thats nice of you Jobs.

 

So now I really have no clue at where to start, I have tried to boot on my InstallDVD and look through some logs,

But I really dont know which log to look in.

And I cant figure out how to get a Verbose boot without using the InstallDVD and press F8.

Is it some kind of button I can press?

Is it possible to pass the -v parameter to darwin from GRUB ?

 

Anyway, I really would apreciate some help here, maybe there is another InstallDVD that works better for my System?

Maybe there is a patch I should apply?

Have I got the right binaries? How to know?
