Obsidian
I'm going to take the plunge and install OSX64 on my Asus Z71V laptop: Pentium M 2GHz 1GB RAM GeForce Go 6600 Intel 2200abg wifi Marvell 88E8001 Ethernet It supports SSE2 and the like, so I should be good to go? Ethernet isn't as important as WiFi to me, as I take the laptop to school a lot (I commute). My plan is to swap out the 60gb drive I have Gentoo installed on with a 12GB (for now, until I have time to re-install Gentoo and the like). I'm going to install a minimal Gentoo install for the grub bootloader to boot OS X. Is there any issues I should look out for? Such as http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=44216&st=20? I don't have SSE3 support, so is my fan going to run okay? Can I use Linux' fdisk to make the OS X partitions? Anything special? Can I use Linux' fdisk to make the OS X partitions? Anything special?
