Szak1
HI all, just installed Jas.10.4.8.AMD.INTEL.SSE2.SSE3.iso on the following configuration: ABIT KN8 Ultra, AMD Athlon64 3200+ Venice, Geforce 6800 128 MB. I have one ATA drive in my computer, with two NTFS partitions, and one 8gb partition. This 8gb partition was erased with disk utility during install, and set to Mac extended journaled. Install went fine, I skipped X11(what is it, by the way?), languages and printer drivers. I only chose AMD kexts, since I have an AMD cpu.. After reboot, (even with -v or -x mode), I don't get past the following: localhost: /#root That's the last line I see. Any suggestions? PS: I have to wait minutes after the line "BSD root: disk0s2, major 14, minor 2", but finally it goes on, until I see localhost: /#root. Szak1
I'll give a try. In fact it takes me 10 minutes until I get to setup from booting from CD. The system kind of "hangs" when it gets to the BSD root: disk1s2, major 14, minor 6 line, I have to wait about 5 minutes before the boot process continues. By the way, what is X11?
