Nicky Posted November 24, 2005 Share Posted November 24, 2005 hello i have recently put os x 86 on my IBM t40 laptop i have dial up internet, and i need to install a modem when i want to install, the modem i have is not listed. do i need to download more drivers for it? I believe i havea Lucent AMR Soft Modem, it comes standard on the laptop. I want to use AOL so i can access the internet, and when i try to find my modem, it also is not listen. I need to get this working asap. any help is appreciated thanks ~nicky You have a "softmodem" witch needs drivers. Every RS232 modem should work because you can access it via the at commands.
