EDV11
Sorry, but I'm a completely noob, and I'm just working around it... I've been lot of time trying to modify Info.plist archive to be able to install parallels in my hackintosh AMD, but I don't know how to modify it, as I cannot change the attributes... I have searched, but with no luck. Could you please help me? I'm sure it is pretty easy, but I can't find the solution... Prawker
First you need to copy the .pkg file from the disk image to your desktop, THEN edit the file, find "GenuineIntel" and change that to "AuthenticAMD". Save it and run the .pkg and your good to go. Jeezoflip
If you are actually asking how to edit a .plist it is quite easy. First open terminal then type sudo -s type ur password then cd /where/ur/file/is then nano whatever.plist change what ever u want, then hit control + x. It will ask u if u wanna save, say yes. and ur done. EDV11
Yes, I'm using Text Edit, but the file is only readable so when I try to save it, the error turns out Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47890-noob-trying-to-edit-infoplist-for-parallels-install/#findComment-343212 Share on other sites
Prawker
the only reason that should be happening is if the package file is on the root of the hard drive, in which case, drag it to the desktop first.. Or this is because you still have the package file inside of the read-only disk image, in which case, drag the whole package file to your desktop, then you should be able to edit the plist without any issues.
