platinum Posted April 6, 2007 Share Posted April 6, 2007 hi! i have a laptop with the intel ICH7 + 950 chipset, gma and all that jazz, and the sound card is a realtek ALC861. i see a bunch of different forum posts for other ALC8xx cards, but no ALC861. i have the volume thing in the task bar, and it is also in the sound applet in system preferences. but, in the output tab, it says "the selected device has no output controls". my laptop has no volume dial on it, so how do i get sound going (if 2 channel is all i can get and no mic, fine with me!)
