help me configur 10.4.1

i have installed the Mac OS X 10.4.1 from DVD, but i was not able to start os normally, but the os started normally with the -x switch, but it don't seem comfortable to start the OS in safe mode.

 

when staring in the -v mode, i get the kdp poll error.

 

Also i am not being able to shut-down/reboot the pc by clicking at the menu.

Spotlight also doesn't seem to be working.

 

Any help will be appreciated
