Hello,

I have a ibm thinkpad x31 with 1GB ram, 60GB hard-drive, Intel centrino 1.4GHZ and Ati mobility radeon,

i tried yesterday to install osx86 (10.4.3) but it doesn't work => blue screen with pointer and freeze at installation

my question is : will it change something if i download the 10.4.8 version?

can i intall osx86 on my PC? ;)

If someone have the solution to my blue screen problem, it can be great! :)

Many thanks for answers

PS:Sorry for my english...

I have the same configuration as you and... no... Jas 10.4.8 SSE2 with (or without) patch 1... does not get to the installation screen on boot (not blue screen, but fails with an error). I successfully installed JaS 10.4.6 on this (with 10.4.7 update) and that works pretty well. Which OSX distro did you try to install?

best,

You need to jump the pin connectors on the VGA output on the back of your thinkpad just like people getting the blue screen with Dell Inspirons!!!!!!!!!!

the cure would be plug in an external monitor, use a USB VGA Dongle or use paper clips to jump pin 2 and 12 and 1 and 11, I believe.....

Good Luck

i got an x31 since yesterday , i've installed 10.4.8 and no problem at all, just put the dvd in and wait until the end of installation.

only ethernet didn't worked at the begining. And i change the wifi cisco card with a broadcom one. Now everithing work perfectly.

x31 rocks !!
