I've recently bought Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3205 and like I've sad it's not going so well with driver installation and to be honest finding drivers isn't so easy as I expected. So I need help with modem, wireless and sound drivers. Version of Mac OS X86 is 10.4.7 but it seems to be faulty, so I would rather try 10.4.6 (that I also have) but osx86projects wiki site says that my laptop isn't compatible with 10.4.6.

Could you help me?

Thanks, Bugsy :thumbsup_anim:

this above is a guide for 10.4.7

Now I have already installed 10.4.8 on it, but was lazy to write a newer description. Use 10.4.8 DVD and install GMA950 package (as opposed to what I wrote in the description for 10.4.7), but don't select it during installation, do it after installation using pacifist and replace on every question.

V3205 line also includes Core2 duos, my was only Core Duo. With Core2 there are more problems.

oh, and yes:

modem doesn't work

wifi driver for iwi3945 in progress (my wifi is this one, yours i guess too) http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/

sound only output, see instructions, though there is also a work in progress http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry231456.

I’m still having trouble with drivers for my laptop. Some how I forced all to work except sound and modem. Does anyone have any idea to point me to.

And I forgot, Connect to Server option from the Go menu doesn’t work! Is there any cure?

I’ve managed to solve the problem that I had with Connect to Server option. Now only fine tuning is left. But to be honest I don’t really know how I forced “everything” to work because I tried several patches at the same time.

But thanks any way.

I have this computer as well, but with Core Solo cpu. Got a new wireless card (Broadcom 4311) and it runs perfect with no editing to get it working.

The problem I have is getting sound to work. Can't seem to get the drivers installed properly.

Also the computer shuts down and not restart when choosing restart. Any way to fix that?

Also the computer indicated that power adapter was not connected when installing osx 10.4.8.

Is that a USB wireless card or what?

Sound: you need to delete AppleHDA.kext and then copy the one that I found on this forum to the /System/Library/Extensions/ and then delete the kext cache and repair permissions.

Lan: you just need to replace the file on the system with the one that I also found on this forum and do the same as with the sound (delete kext cache files and repair permissions).

There is a patch for restart problem but it didn't solve my problems, it only made them worse. My computer got kernel panic and there was no help for that installation so I had to reinstall it.

You do not have to worry about the power cord message because I had the same but when I installed it totally it worked fine.

Best regards, bugsy!

p.s. If you cant find the drivers on the forum send me a PM with your mail address and I will send them to you!!!

Here is short tutorial:

* delete applehda.kext from extensions

* copy those 2 kext (AppleAzaliaAudio.kext & AppleIntel8255x.kext) files to extensions

* rm /System/Library/Extensions.*

* repair permissions with disk utill

:)

bugsyman: did you have to do anything special when you updated, or did you just download from appleupdate and restart?

Is there a way to get the reboot function working? When I press reboot now the laptop turns itself off.

You can’t update it from apple site. You have to download Jas combo update, and if I’m not wrong 10.4.9 is only for SSE3 instructions processors. From apple site you can download updates for iTunes and other programs but you can’t download updates from apple site for system.

Bugsy ;)
