Hi steren,

to use an USB modem in OSX you need a driver for it.

Unfortunately a lot of USB modem that work fine under WinXP don't work with OSX because of a lack of specific drivers.

Look for a Macintosh/Linux driver for your modem

In absence of a specific driver the only possibility is to change your modem with another one

Obviously if you can use an ethernet device you solve the problem because in this case you don't need any driver.

Cant find a driver for linux, actually it works fine in linux.

 

I only can find this info, dont know if is useful for writing a driver:
