Hello,

I am new to this board and it would be great if you could help me.

I have the "JaS.10.4.8.SSE3.Intel.Only.iso" burnt onto a DVD. My machine is a Packard Bell 9099. It is an Intel quad core (2,4Ghz) with Serial Ata drives 1TB (2x500 in an array 0), Nvidia 8800 grafic card and an Asus board. The PC boots from the DVD, the Apple grey screen comes up, the circle spins and then there is a crossed sign in front of the Apple logo.

When I boot with -v it stops saying "waiting for root device" and goes on like this waiting and waiting.

What can I do?

I'd appreciate help :)

Can anyone help me?

Hello Mousse-T

Thank you for your reply. I looked in my BIOS but i don't seem to be able to disable CPUID.

I'm not using my RAID for the installation anyway. I hooked up a PATA HD and installed OSX on it. When I reboot I can only boot from the HD if the install DVD from Mac OS X is in the DVD drive which would be ok for me if only OSX would boot lol.

I tried the verbose and single user mode but when I press the button combination my PC reboots right away.
