i am a desperate mac fan , in india there are no direct sales or service from apple,

so i am planning to buy a custom built pc , just to install and run mac

kindly tell me the most compatible hardware , i shud opt for to get a nearest mac experience

Man, That site was made a year and a half ago. There is much better hardware now available. Checkout http://wiki.osx86project.org they have a hardware compatibility lists, systems, and even laptops. It also has instructions on how people got things to work.

yes jaminmc's link is much more current. the stuff is newer, better, and more expensive.

certainly no $200 pc's there!
