if i wanna try os x for x86 using , for ex.: 10.4.8 AMD intel etc etc, sse2 and 3, ppf 1 and 2.iso
is it necess to first install a 8.8 or 8.9 kernel?
thats what it says here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=34871
is there an easier way?
or is this the state of the art?

and when im finally done installing, 10.4.8, is the last step to upgrade to the new kernel
