Mirco
Hi ! I am an italian Boy Daw User, My Setup : Asus P5WDG2 WS Professional, Intel Core Duo 2 E6700, 4GB Corsair Pc6400, Sapphire X1950Pro 512MB, 2x Raptor 10k 74GB (no Raid), Adaptec FireConnet 4300, Lacie Firewire 800 Card, Pioneer 110BK, Rme Fireface 800, Motu 828MKII, Midex 3, Tc PowerCore Firewire (x2), Iso Installed : 10.4.7. My Osx86 Work Properly (very fast) except the connection with the external audio interface. The peripheral appear well connected, but for the driver not present (latest driver downloaded, intel supported); I have also installed the 10.4.8 Iso (JAS AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3 kernel Semthex Beta9), but the installer is very slow (1 hour) and after restart black Screen. Strange fact : The Powercore Firewire work perfectly (with beta driver of Tc), Why ? This Topic : http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...udiofamily.kext speak of ioaudiofamily.kext, but i don't have the 10.4.5 Iso, my Mobo is the problem ? The external Midi Interface Steinberg Midex 3, according to You, has the same problem ? Please Help-me ! ............Otherwise I must Buy a very macPro (too much expensive for my finance). Thanks truly for Your Interest ! Â Mirco. demonio
How much firewire devices are You running on this machine? Three? Don´t You have only one firewire port? Is Motu on usb or firewire? Where ae the PowerCores installed??? Asus has Texas Instruments Firewire chip, this must be ok -but i think is Firewire 400. I can put two Firefaces 800 only if i have FW 800. For other devices i dont know. Try installing all devices separately to test them alone. About Midex 3: Probably you use it because of his LTB, but I think its better to go on with motu midi express 128 or something. Maybe You should buy some 60 EUR ieee1394b ( FireWire 800) PCI card to put in, like the Dawicontrol DC-FW800.It has a Texas Instruments chip.    http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/page/shop/fl...product_id/8475 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47041-help-me-fireface-800-828mkii-and-midex-3-dont-work/#findComment-357911 Share on other sites
NovemberZulu AVMS
I have the same problem, i have a Tascam FW1082 via firewire (the six elements connector) and use a Adaptec DuoConnect AUA-1422. OSX 10.4.9 doesnt recognize it (along with the SD internal card reader), so I cant use my Hackintosh for DAW Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47041-help-me-fireface-800-828mkii-and-midex-3-dont-work/#findComment-360173 Share on other sites
