Problems with dual booting installation process

First off I really confuse on how to do with the dual boot process bcoz, there's so many variations of the process & there's so many patches & files like the dev kit, tiger-osx86 file & now there's this deadmoo linux dvd.

 

I currently have The OSx dev kit & the tiger-os img.

 

Now I'm planning to reformat everything!!!

 

Which of the two files (Dev kit or tiger-os)are preffered in making a dual boot (Xp & Osx) procedure ?

 

Can u provide a step by step process or a link using the file u just recommended?

 

 

Btw I haven't done any of the procedures yet ie the single native install, dual boot or the virtual pc process. And I'm so not use to linux but with the propper instruction I could get it.
