VMWare hack OS 10.4.1

DFI Lanparty Ultra-D

AMD Athlon64 3200+ 'Venice'

1GB OCZ low latency DDR400

Nforce 4 chipset (NICs and SATA DO NOT work)

Intel 10/100 NIC

ATI Radeon x800Pro

Off the onboard mobo IDE controller I have 2 IBM drives, 1 20GB and 1 9GB

It also reads a 120GB Maxtor IDE drive

Of course the SATA Raid is not read, but neither are the regular SATA drives. The Nforce controller is SATAII comtatible, but I believe Nforce hardware is not compatible anyway. For this reason and my love of the Mac OS but not their hardware I may build a cheap Intel system. I'll have to explore it more on my current setup and I am also awaiting the release of Mac intel systems as I may actually buy one.

I have successfully ran this in VMWare and also straight from the IDE drives. Performance is great, but I will post some benchmarks later. The only bottleneck right now are the slower IBM drives I am using (all I had available

Just though I would post this in case someone is looking at running it on a similiar rig.
