stereobus
My "Hackintosh" would not play DVDs with apple's standard DVD player application. I get only sound and a black screen. Rather than go back to the command line and try to hack it up some more, a little research turned up VLC media Player. This thing plays tons of file formats (and claims to support WMA and WMV). It plays DVDs beautifully on my Celeron based ACER laptop running OS 10.4.5 and on both partitions of my XP/Linux box, as well as on my PPC G4 PowerMac. It's totally free and available from numerous sites. Hope that can help someone! http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/vide...ediaplayer.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46900-media-playback-sound-and-video-on-osx86/ Share on other sites
