kidrobot
Hi Everyone, I'm looking for some troubleshooting support with this: My installation works fine... No screen problems. Once installed, everything is working so amazingly I am almost in tears with disbelief... until I reboot. Sometimes it gets to the desktop, and when it does, my resolution is proper (1600x1050) and everything (I can't believe how nice it is) is working (except network but I haven't worked on this yet). Usually my screen goes black (monitor power button flashes as if looking for a signal) after the grey apple logo and it seems like something is going on with HDD activity and I suspect behind the black screen everything is working as it should. I have tried numerous options on the installation DVD (with/without ICH7R patch, 8.8.1. kernel update, with/without titan kext, with/without natit kext... It seems totally random and after 3-4 manual shutdowns it boots to desktop again. Any ideas? I will try using only VGA after this last fresh install attempt and see if DVI is the issue. Thank you for any help or suggestions. PC Spec: Shuttle SD37P2 V2 975x ICH7R Board w/ 6400 Core Duo CPU 1 DVD Drive on IDE SATA HDD. Gigabyte Geforce 7300GT 256mb Working on DVI (sometimes) ******* EDIT Did a fresh re-install. At the end of the install when it tries to reboot, darwin is saying MACH reboot, but it just hangs at this point. On the reboot, I am now past the grey apple logo, but stuck in some sort of loop at a blue screen that shows that circular loading symbol for a split second and just repeats... I think this is what was going on behind the black screen previously as I am seeing and hearing similar HDD activity as before.
