I'm now on 10.4.9, and am trying to switch from my nVidia FX5600 to my onboard Intel 945G video card. I'm able to boot to the OS, to the point where the screen comes up blue and there's no mouse. Nothing happens from there.

I'm not asking anyone to fix this problem for me, but I would like to know the easiest way to wipe out the OS's memory of the video configuration, so it can be autodetected upon the next bootup. Is this possible? I've spent several days searching for a way, but the different options I've tried have resulted in kernel panics, and subsequent reinstalls.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Edit: The main reason I'd like to switch the displays is due to the aweful window redrawing and tearing I'm getting since going to 10.4.9 :thumbsup_anim:
