nicomusik
Here is my computer : Brand : Toshiba Model : U200 (ultra-mobile) Specifications : Mobile Intel Core Duo processor T2300E (1.66GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB) Hitachi 100GB HDD (7200rpm, Serial-ATA) 2048MB DDR2 667MHz SDRAM (1024MBx2) Intel 945GM Express chipset Graphic Media Accelerator Intel 950 Express Chipset Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network connection I've been trying for months... but today I still cant install OSX on my computer (I've tried 10.4.6, 10.4.7, JAS 10.4.8 Intel only...) with standard bios settings, intallation crashes just after Darwin boot loader with the message "you must restart... B0 Error..." As suggested somewhere on this website, I only can do the complete installation with these bios settings : * Changing Power management to "user setting" and setting processing speed to LOW and CPU sleep mode to DISABLED *Changing CPU speed from "Dynamically Switchable" to "ALWAYS LOW" *Changing Execute-Disable Bit to DISABLED *Changing Device Configuration from "Setup by OS" to "All Devices" With these poor settings, installation finally works for me (sometimes!) but only disabling Core Duo mode! Unfortunately OSX is completely unstable & very slow with these settings.... Strangely, I've already seen the same problem if I try to install some linux distros on my computer with core duo mode (Mandriva or derivatives). As contrary, all Debian derivatives are well compatible (Ubuntu is 100% OK)... According to you... is there a solution (patch, update, kernel, specific ISO version)? Sooner or later, is there any chance to see OSX compatible with my computer or must I definitively forget it? thx a lot! MrYellow
Hey what a machine! I´ve installed the Jas 10.4.8 in my Toshiba M115 S3094 with a Centrino Duo T2050 @1.6GHz, 512MB DDR2 SDRAM, HDD 80GB at 5600RPM, Intel 945 Chipset, Intel GMA 950 and it works perfect. The 3945abg driver is still in development but it'll works soon! As you've seen, my PC is similar to your PC, (ok... is really a quarter powered than yours ) but in my case the installation was normal. It´s strange why it doesn't work for you but must be a solution! Thank you very much MrYellow for your contribution Yes my PC is similar to yours (in fact I've just upgraded HD and ram = great deal). I think I'm gonna try to find another ISO of OSX. Maybe mine is simply corrupted... Just a little question : what's your Bios version? thx again!
