You'll most likely need to get rid of your partition before you can even format.

Boot up with an MS-Dos or Win XP boot disk.

Go into "Fdisk" and delete "non-dos partition" first, then create new partition.

Then you can boot up with your XP Install disk and install XP :)

I've formatted (sorry for my bad english :P ) to ms dos from the mac osx dvd but from win xp cd i got the same message, there aren't hd etc etc..and from windows vista installer i can see the hd of the notebook, Disk 0 Partition 2 SENZA TITOL etc etc but vista say to me this message: Not possible install windows in the disk. The partition of the disk is GPT.

Please Help me i'm getting crazy ;)

It sounds like you may still have a partition set to active. Vista doesn't have the ability to set disks inactive like XP does during an install. From the Vista install choose Repair and go to Command Prompt, at prompt type diskpart. Check the link for diskpart commands.

One easy solution is to find someone who can download a disk-wiping utility, like the IBM/Lenovo Secure Data Disposal tool (available here) and put it on a floppy or CD for you. Then you can boot with this floppy or CD and literally wipe everything off the hard drive including the partition information and everything else. Then XP or Vista will see a completely blank drive and happily install.

Be aware that you will lose everything on the hard drive with this method, but it sounds as if that's not an issue in this case.
